Dessa AI Guide is an independent information website maintained by chaozicoder. This privacy policy describes this website, not Block, OpenAI, Sesame or other services linked from our guides. Their own policies apply when you visit them.

The public guides can be read without an account. This release does not provide a Dessa conversation service, request microphone access, accept voice uploads, sell model access or take payments for Dessa. It does not operate an email waitlist. You can follow the public update log without providing an email address.

How this privacy policy covers website requests

Opening a page necessarily sends a request to the server delivering it. Hosting and security services may process technical request information, such as the requested address, IP address and browser information, to deliver and protect the site. This guide does not promise that infrastructure-level logs are never collected or that all such logs have a particular retention period.

The site can store language, theme and cookie preferences in your browser. These preferences help the site display the choices you made. Clearing browser storage removes locally stored preferences. Authentication or security cookies may also be used if you separately access an account function; reading the public guides does not require doing so.

If you separately use an account or support function, the service may store the name and email address you provide, account and sign-in records, session information and the content of a support request. These records are used to operate that account, protect access and respond to the request. We have not set a single automatic deletion period for correspondence; you can ask us about a particular message or request its deletion, subject to any information we need to retain for the request or applicable obligations.

Our demo guides link to recordings on Block's website. Opening those links takes you to Block, which receives the resulting request under its own policies. Links to other providers behave the same way. We do not control their accounts, cookies, recording practices or model-training choices.

Website artwork is delivered from our media hosting domain, ship-image.chaozi.work. Loading an image involves a request to that host. The conceptual sound artwork is not a recording of a visitor and is not an output produced by Dessa.

Future voice features

A future integration would need to explain the model provider, microphone permission, where audio is sent, whether it is stored, retention and deletion controls before people use it. The existence of a local-running research model is not a promise that a future hosted service will be offline or keep audio on your device.

We will update this privacy policy when the site's actual handling changes. A new publication date alone should not be read as a new data-collection feature.
