Try Dessa AI: Public Access and Official Links
Can you try Dessa AI today? Check official access, researcher applications and demo links, with clear next steps for each kind of visitor.
Can you try Dessa AI today?
As of 25 October 2026, you can listen to official Dessa recordings, but we have not found a public interactive chat on Block's release page. The page invites a small group of AI safety researchers to request early access. This website is an independent guide and does not currently run the Dessa model.
To try Dessa AI yourself, you would need an interactive session where you choose what to say and receive a new response. Playing a recording lets you hear an example chosen by the publisher. Only the recording route was publicly verified in the checked material.
Choose the right official entry point
| What you want | Current route | What that route provides |
|---|---|---|
| Hear the model | Official recordings | Recorded conversations, not a live chat |
| Explore research access | Block's safety research invitation | An application for relevant researchers; access is decided by Block |
| Find a public app or browser chat | Official release page | No general-purpose interactive entry verified in our check |
| Download or host the model | Download and local-use guide | The current evidence for weights, software and hardware requirements |
| Integrate it into an app | Dessa API guide | What is published and what a working integration still needs |
Start at the publisher's page and follow its own release links. An offer to try Dessa AI is not authenticated by a similar domain, a familiar logo or a product bearing the same name.
Who can apply for research access?
Block's invitation is aimed at AI safety researchers who can help investigate risks. The linked application asks for a name and institutional email; a Google Scholar or blog link is optional. Those are the fields visible when we checked the official research invitation.
If you want to try Dessa AI for that research purpose, use the application reached from Block's page. Sending an application is not an access grant. This guide cannot approve applications, issue invitations or offer a faster route into the research program.
Is there a waitlist to try Dessa AI?
The official page displayed a message that launch links were still to come. We did not verify an active public waitlist in that check. Check the publisher's page for a new signup link rather than treating a third-party mailing list as the official queue.
Our updates page records changes to access, downloads and developer documentation. Following this independent guide does not enroll you with Block or reserve an opportunity to try Dessa AI.
Can I try Dessa AI online for free?
There is no verified public service or price to try Dessa AI in the release material checked on 25 October 2026. An unpublished price is not a free plan, and a free research demonstration is not a promise of free commercial access.
If you need a voice conversation now, use our task-based alternatives. It separates a ready-made assistant, an expressive speech preview, local research software and developer APIs, because their costs and access requirements are different.
When can everyone try Dessa AI?
We have not found a date when everyone can try Dessa AI in the checked official material. A research announcement, a public app, an API release and downloadable weights can arrive separately. We record those as separate events in Dessa updates, so a new recording will not be presented as a product launch.
For now, open the official recordings. Our demo listening guide points to publisher-marked interruptions and laughter, plus a request to adjust the voice.
